Dear Tattenhall,

We are a small group of Tattenhall village artists called Artists Tattenhall and we would like to let you know about our 2024 Tattenhall Art Trail.

Last year several of us joined forces to organise the first Tattenhall Art Trail. Flush from the success of last year’s trail we are doing another trail this year. The trail is across a wide range of different venues both inside and out and is open to all sorts of art forms and creative tinkerers. Entries are now open for individuals or groups to submit existing work or ideas.

Entries are open until the 30th April, and individuals can get a paper form from the Library, Tattenhall Village Market on a Friday 10-12noon, or from the Post Office.

People can also get a word version to fill in by e mailing Jane at atarttrail@gmail.com and returning the completed form to Jane.

Meet up and photo sessions

We ask for a photo of the work so that we can choose where to site each work but we realise that some people might not have the means to take their own photos. With this in mind two of our members are kindly offering a meet up in Tattenhall Library 12 noon-1pm, on the 8th and 22nd April. Here our photographer will be on hand to photograph any works people might like to bring in and can also offer help with the form or answer any questions.

Group Entries

Last year we were pleased to have some groups taking part in the trail. A great example was the Helpful Knitters who created knitted nests and birds for the park trees. We are open to group efforts so please get in touch via atarttrail@gmail.com if you would like to talk through ideas around this.

Events and none visual arts entries

As last year we are designing a map which will help people find all the art works. On the flip side of the map we are adding a box to note any creative events taking place whilst the Trail is taking place; ie between July 2nd and August the 30th. So if you have any events you would like to feature do get in touch before 30th April, on atarttrail@gmail.com We are also hoping to accommodate things like music and performance over the time of the trail and at a closing ceremony.

Kind Regards

Barbara Garner
