Film Night at the Barbour is run by a group of film-loving volunteers (would you be interested in joining us?) We aim to show current and classic films in a friendly and accessible setting, where all are welcome. We are equipped to show films in the main Hall or the more intimate Billiard room, with drop down screens and quality audio and visual equipment. Our licences are purchased from Filmbankmedia who offer 15,000 titles from studios and distributors from around the world and we are always open to suggestions of films you'd like to see at Film Night at the Barbour!
Film Nights are usually held on the last Wednesday of the month, 7.30pm start.
Can you believe we played this to a sell out audience in January 2020. What a great start to the year for Film night we thought. Foolishly.
Intouchable, c 'est manifique! A heartwarming, funny, true story of a French aristocratic intellect featuring Omar Sy, currently in Lupin, the Netflix top ten show. Worth the watch for the dancing scene alone!
Mamma Mia Here We Go Again – relaunched Film Night 2019/2020 season, short lived as that was! A great sing-along, with fantastic fancy dress costumes!
A musical fantasy about the early years on Elton John's career. A brilliant film, with a great cast. This was a really popular film at Film Night!
