Tattenhall Community Association (TCA) comprises of a small group of volunteer Trustees working within the guidelines of the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation(CIO). The group is responsible for the day to day business and the maintenance of the building which is funded by the rents from hirers, income from party packages and weddings and fund-raising such as the 200 Club and jumble sales. Those involved have raised funds for the substantial building and internal works that have taken place over recent years paying for the re-wiring, plumbing, underfloor heating, lighting and sound equipment and decorating amongst many other projects. The most recent improvement to be completed is the refurbishment of the Bar Area.

The Barbour Institute is leased from the Bolesworth Estate for a nominal rent. The Bolesworth Estate has also contributed to some of the major works including the new roof. The Trustees are gratefully supported by a group of helpers known as the "Friends of the Barbour" without whom the fund-raising and weddings could not take place. If you wish to be involved either as a Friend or a Trustee please get in touch with the Barbour Institute office for further information.
