There is a fixed stage at one end of the Hall and flexible stage available for your use.
The main Hall has a built in sound system including microphones and stage connections and a hearing loop.
The basic lighting desk can be used to 'dress' the stage. Contact the office for more details.
Wifi is available at the Barbour Institute, check with the office for network and password details.
In the main Hall there is a ceiling mounted projector and drop-down screen. In the Billiard room there is a drop-down screen. We have several mobile screens, projectors and various connection and extension cables for our users.
We have 4 different types of chairs, including chairs for outside and 3 different sizes of tables available. We have 2 flip chart easels and a projector table. See above for technical equipment.
We have plenty of kettles, an instant hot water system and a tea urn. There is a full height fridge/ freezer downstairs and undercounter fridge freezer in the upstairs kitchen. For your use there is a commercial glass washer (1 minute cycle), and a domestic dishwasher, both in the main kitchen. Detergent is provided and we ask that you empty the dishwasher after you have used it. There is a large Rangemaster oven and we have a small number of pans and oven trays. There is a large amount of cutlery, white crockery and glasses available as well as a large selection of vintage crockery and tablecloths. We also have wine and water glasses and jugs. The upstairs kitchen is perfect for preparing/ serving food and drinks however there are no actual cooking facilities.
We ask that you take home all of your rubbish and leave the rooms as you found them.
